| Corgi reproduction of Bassett-Lowke Mogul $475 + post Bassett-Lowke's Mogul was one of the mainstays of the company's line for 30 years ot so. Corgi's reproduction from a few years ago follows the original pretty faithfully. You can read about the original Mogul here. The Corgi model runs well on air, evenly in both directions. It comes with the original box and the original papers, but the display track is missing. Also missing is the dome. The engine is in excellent condition, with the following exceptions. The cab has come unsoldered from the floor on the right side (see pictures). The coal baffle in the tender also has a loose solder joint on one side. When I removed the safety to give it a go on air I found that the spring had entirely corroded away, obviously having been made from the wrong material. The spring could be readily replaced, as it was retained by a pair of brass nuts on the bottom of the shaft.
